She has been crowned the ‘Sexiest Woman Alive’ twice and Hollywood beauty Megan Fox is set for a hat-trick as she readies to play the bikini-wearing warrior Red Sonja.
The 1985 original starred Brigitte Neilson as warrior from the Conan comic strip, opposite Arnold Schwarzenegger as Prince Kalidor.
And now producer Robert Rodriguez has offered the role to the 24-year-old Hollywood siren, so that the much delayed remake finally sees the light of the day, reported Sun online.
The remake has been on the cards for a while and was set to star the producer’s former fiancee Rose McGowan. And Rodriguez recently admitted that the production had been beset by financial problems.
“If I kept the project myself, we could’ve just made it, but it belonged to another company that had financing problems. They had to wait until they made a couple of other movies first,” he said.
Now Rodriguez has offered the role of the armoured beauty to the ‘Transfomers’ star in an attempt to drum up some fresh interest in the much delayed project.
Fox was supposed to replace Angelina Jolie as Lara Croft in Tom Raider 3 but has reportedly refused the offer to avoid comparison with her predecessor.
